Announcing BibliographyWeek.org
December 19, 2022
The Bibliographical Society of America (BSA) and the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA) are proud to announce a new collaborative project: BibliographyWeek.org.
This new project is designed to promote Bibliography Week and make it easier for attendees to plan to attend from wherever they are. Bibliography Week happens each year at the end of January when several national organizations devoted to book scholarship and the book arts – the Bibliographical Society of America (BSA), the American Printing History Association (APHA), and the Grolier Club – host their annual meetings. Local institutions throughout New York City host events at this time as well. Events are free and open to the public, and many are accessible online.
BibliographyWeek.org features a calendar of events, making it easier to find out about what’s happening and plan your Bibliography Week. The About page offers more information about Bibliography Week, including future dates. We also recognize the many sponsors – most of them antiquarian booksellers – whose contributions enable the BSA to host so many events throughout the week free of charge on BibliographyWeek.org/sponsors.
January is a low point in the New York City tourist season, making hotels more affordable and travel less expensive. Attending Bibliography Week events is a great way to meet the booksellers, academics, librarians, collectors, and others who gather in New York to participate in events throughout the week. Information about local arrangements in NYC is available on the BSA website.
The BSA is most grateful to the ABAA for collaborating with us to make this resource possible.
