September 5, 2014
BSA is pleased to announce that, through the courtesy of Annette Fern, retired Research and Reference Librarian of the Harvard Theatre Collection of the Houghton Library, a preliminary version of a new and important reference work, British Book Auction Catalogues 1801–1900: A Preliminary Version of Munby-Coral 2, is now available on our online bibliographical resources site, BIBSITE. Compiled by the late Lenore Coral, who was librarian of the Sidney Cox Library of Music and Dance at Cornell University (and who, with A. N. L. Munby, compiled and edited British Book Sale Catalogues 1676–1800 [Mansell, 1977]), Munby-Coral 2 contains searchable records on over 16,000 19th-century British book auctions.
